Feeling in the Heart Space

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” - Steve Jobs

I am not a particularly fancy person. When I wear these shoes, which are naturalizers and the most comfy heels I've ever stepped into, I feel beautiful. Not because they make me a little taller or because it shows I've taken a few extra minutes to think about myself or because of the way they click on the ground when I walk making me aware of my posture and pulling my shoulders back. They make me feel beautiful because a pair of shoes in the closet never can, but on my feet always will. I don't own lots of fancy shoes, I pretty much just wear these and when I notice I've gone weeks without putting them on I know that I'm living in my sweat clothes and am not experiencing the world feeling beautiful.

The quotes, words and the outpouring for Steve Jobs left me in amazement. How could you not be moved, at times to tears. Chris Brogan who I join each morning over coffee wrote, The Time We're Losing, and I cried. I kept thinking about the quote above.

Let your heart and intuition know what you want to become. Sometimes I feel as though I can see it in someone else even before they do, because the heart is the easiest place for me to understand.

Chris closes his post saying, be brave with your time.

It can be scary to be brave with our time. It makes space for decisions and opportunities that we may never have seen as a possibility. Stepping into the place where we wrap bravery with our time around following our heart and intuition - magic.

Wear your beautiful shoes when you feel the glow. Use the that gorgeous stationary and send the letter. Raise your rates and work with the people you really want to serve. Change pieces of the world. Create your business around whatever you are too...  Find rhythm to your day and get off the damn email every 15 minutes -- yes, all of us. Make that video and feel scared shit-less and swim in the love. Do whatever you have to do to feel better. Be honest and receive in that giving.

Wear your heels. Feel the decision. Go. Your heart is ready.
