Well, hello gorgeous manifesters of incredible lives. Yes, you.

You are what you want, so let's get wanting. How often does someone ask you what you want? Would you know how to answer?

Do you hear that word come flying out of your mouth as your two year old is throwing himself on the ground in a tantrum of nonsensical and terrific proportions? What do you want, you plead with him. If only you knew what he wanted you could help him right? Well, no. He's two.

But you on the other hand hold the magic of manifesting amazing things. Ever notice when you are frustrated you drop things, break things and bump into things? How about when you are happy, you notice more smiles seem to come your way? There's an energy exchange going on and you can tap into that.

So what do you want?

Most of you know what you don't want. Forget about that, the more you think it, the more you get of it. So what do you want, really want. It's not a bad word, it's beautiful if you let it be. That's where we are headed gorgeous, into the beautiful lives of appreciation and joy. The more you want for amazing, the more you send amazing out into the world.

It's a win-win.

If you need a way to invest in this magical-manifesting, here's a great place to start.

Due to popularity and your requests, we extended it for a few more days!

It would adorn women who sang at feasts in the Middle Ages and now makes a wilty appearance atop a slice of orange on the side of your plate at a restaurant. The Greeks may have intended the parsley garnish to be a powerful part of the plate, but have we down graded it? If we want our gorgeous we need to connect to our Gods and Goddesses and listen to Hippocrates. This man knew the power in the herbs.

Parsley helps to regulate a woman's menstrual cycle (minimum parsley if you are nursing), serves as a diuretic and is a vitamin C/ iron powerhouse. Parsley power will help you get your lovely on! It's part of your dark green routine so start munching, blending or juicing this pretty plant. Don't forget to rotate your greens gorgeous, parsley is just part of the green circle of health. Start there and move through the basil, cilantro, thyme, sage and other beautiful leaves.

Two stems in a smoothie or through the juicer is a shot of chlorophyll on these final days of cold and brown on the East Coast. Throw a handful into a pot of soup right before serving with a small squeeze of lemon and your meal instantly brightens. Chicken soup in our house isn't the same without a broth full of herbs, save your parsley or other herb stems in the freezer and use them as part of your healing stock.

Be an herb-an woman, connect back to your inner Goddess and glow from parsley beauty.

1 cup frozen mango 1/2 pear 1/4-1/2 cup parsley 1 big kale leaf (optional - little extra green) 1 1/2 cups water

Blend away baby!

The harder the better, and calcium and exercise for your bones can help you get there! Wipe off that milk mustache, baby and let's talk foods and moves that deliver calcium without any damage.

Arugula in a collard wrap with sauted chickpeas...can you see an amazing meal there? Drizzle it with dressing made with some fresh lemon juice for extra Vit C, because the C helps the other C (alcium) absorb. Green smoothie combined with a little kettle bell swinging and you have a calcium rich, bone building recipe for success.

We want alkalinity, not acidity for our cells to swim in. Alkalinity: think dates instead of sugar when you need a little sweet, broccoli as an appetizer instead of the usual greasy fare. Trade a cup of coffee for a green juice and you are well on your way to bone building happiness.

This alkalizing, energizing formula isn't just strengthening your bones, but it's keeping dis-ease away from your body and building a pathway for thoughts that transform you into the joyful butterflies dancing on your head kind of life.

Hard to argue with that, isn't it?

I'm going to teach you how to prepare those nice big collard leaves to use as a filling wrapper. So easy! So tasty!

  1. Trim out the stem from the bottom to about 1/4 of the way up the leaf. Just cut it out. You now have a collard with a little V shape cut out of it.
  2. Wash the leaf and leave it wet. Put a tiny bit of olive oil on your hands (sea salt too if you want to add a bit more flavor) and rub the leaf. It will turn nice and dark green and become soft.
  3. Dry the leaf off on a dish towel (or paper towel) and your collard wrapper is ready. I prepare a few at a time and store them in the fridge for using later.
  4. Before placing filling on, close the V-section of the leaf by simply pulling one edge onto the other, closing the gap. Put your filling inside and wrap it like you would a burrito.

Behind dark curtains, snuggled up under soft comforters, do you do it with socks on or off? I'm a socks on kind of girl, I just can't sleep without them. Patrick is too, we are a nice fit.

Gorgeous, we have got to talk about the quality of your sleep. It might be keeping you from the ness in gorgeousness. What is in your bedroom? From clutter to shining lights bedrooms can be filled with distractions that disrupt normal sleep cycles. You've got to do it in the dark. Your health depends on it.

Sleeping with blinking lights and t.v. in the bedroom causes your body to be out of rhythm with it's natural sleep cycle, which can disrupt your melatonin levels. This is causing premature aging, chronic disease and an increase in cancer (and weight gain people, weight gain!!!!). Your body goes into repair mode around 11pm, but if you aren't doing it, and doing it in the dark, you aren't getting repaired - you are being impaired.

If you can't part with your clock, cover it and move it away from your bedside. Invest in some black out shades. Pee before bed. Stop eating 3 hours before bedtime, this is again about letting your body go into it's natural fast and repair while you do it in the dark.

Go a little Laura Ingalls Wilder with me for a minute. Eat dinner before sundown. Go to bed after sundown. Wake with the sun. Eat an awesome breakfast. Move your body all day. Repeat.

Our world isn't set up to be relaxing, but we can choose to create an environment to give us that gorgeous life. I'm off to clear the clutter out of my bedroom, but that's a whole other post for another day.

Multi-purpose kind of rocks doesn't it? I'm not breaking news on this one: Coconut oil is no longer an enemy. Rub it on your body (it can help keep away those age spots), scramble your eggs in it and please use it to pop popcorn. Move over groundhog, I know when Spring is on its way because my coconut oil starts to liquefy!

The smell of coconut oil always makes me think of popcorn. Before it was deemed the bad guy and we opened the door for the real scary fats to enter, coconut oil was a popcorn favorite. Here is the real secret, once you pop your corn in a little coconut oil, it really doesn't need butter, it has such a rich taste on its own. We have been popping our corn in coconut oil for a few years (it has a high smoking point - perfect) and when we bring it into the kids' classrooms, I get some pretty high praise from those kiddos.

It's saturated, I know, breathe. I grew up in the Snackwell's era too. We can put the brainwashing behind us, let's do it together. Coconut oil stimulates the thyroid which increases the metabolism, assists with fatigue as well as lowering blood cholesterol levels.  Topically it works wonders for chapped lips, burns and even psoriasis.  Sign me up!

Wait, it's going to make me fat....I can't possibly ingest *gasp* this fat, fat, fatty oil.

OK gorgeous, breathe.

I could tell you this: saturated fats from non animal sources, like coconut oil, are different from animal sources mainly due to their being made up of medium chain triglycerides -especially lauric acid, but that's boring. Grab some organic virgin coconut oil and start playing around with it. Put away the data and try to trust your body. I believe in you gorgeous friends.

We had so much fun channeling our inner creatures last week, that I think we'll have to do it again. What happens to that nut or seed that the little creatures bury and forget about? It sprouts of course.

Nuts and seeds have enzyme inhibitors in them. Brilliant on the part of nature, it ensures that the nut will only sprout under the correct conditions and will be stored in it's dry state. Let's think of enzymes as another name, life force. This life force allows our body to heal, detoxify and are the gift of our energy and health. As our enzyme stores become low, our life force also does, leading us to disease, aging and without that spark for life.

Eating foods full of life force gives us...life force! You got it my little forest friend.

Here is what you do. Soak the nuts and seeds in some filtered water with a little bit of sea salt. The sea salt will help further break down the enzyme inhibitors. Hard nuts soak for about 4-8 hours, softer ones less time. After they have soaked you must rinse. Rinse off the water that is now full of the muck. You can then use to snack right away, in recipes or you can dry them out. If you have a dehydrator, set to about 104 degrees and they will crisp up. Most ovens don't set low enough to dry so you can also set them out on a baking sheet and let air dry. You will still want to consume these quickly, so just soak what you will use within a day or two.

Have at it and see if your body won't feel much happier about consumption of nuts and seeds, the way nature intended them.

Today's gorgeous tid-bit is all about foraging in the wild for our greens. Let's become a little creature running around looking for some tasty leafy snacks. Does your little creature see a kale garden and set up tent for life? No, this creature takes a few nibbles and moves on to a spinach garden and then explores fields of dandelion greens. This inner creature that we are channeling has a little deep down knowledge of how these plants make their living.

Each of these plants contain tiny, homeopathic amounts of alkaloids. By rotating our greens our body avoids build up of harmful amounts, in fact, we strengthen our systems by eating an assortment of plants. These alkaloids are little protectors for the plants, allowing them to never be eaten to extinction as this would be toxic to our little creature body, oh so clever.

The best way for you to think of rotating is with seasonal eating. Still in winter we are focusing on dark and hardy greens and waiting anxiously for those first dandelion leaves which cleanse us from winter mucus build up. Rotate the locally available winter greens weekly or bi-weekly. Nature makes sense, if you listen to it. Just because fresh basil is available year round in the grocery store, doesn't mean we should be buying it every week.

So channel your inner-fuzzy-knowledgeable-beings and get chomping. Or blending. Or sauteing.
